“Alles Banane” is a German expression and means something like “everything is ok”.
The banana below is meant to be a bench in the German city of Ulm. It is a kind of advertisement for fair trade bananas.
Usually Ulm is known for its rustic charm and its church, which is the highest in the world.
Ulm’s symbol is the sparrow, the so-called “Ulmer Spatz”. Hard to understand, what the banana is doing in the pedestrian area in the middle of the city.
I am not from Ulm, but a few wooden sparrows would have contributed better to the medievalist charm of Ulm.
But now we have the “Ulmer Banane” instead of the “Ulmer Spatz”.
