Alpe di Siusi III – Dragon-Water-Bench

On the way from Compatsch, the village on Alpe di Siusi where the Cable Car ends, to the Schlern House, on top of the Schlern Moutain Group, you find many benches beside the trail. Especially  on last part of the hike when it is going steep uphill, you appreciate to take a comfortable seat on one of the benches. Out of the numerous benches I picked some unique pieces sticking out.

The first one which came across was the Dragon-Water-Bench (you might consider also the dragon to be a snake, up to you).

The Dragon-Water-Bench is a sort of wooden one-piece work, combining the bench with a fountain where the tap is shaped like a dragon.

It seems like this bench is crafted out of one tree. A piece of bench-art.

And the view is a typical scenery of Alpe di Siusi, some Alp Cottages and some mountains in the background. In this case the Schlern Group, which is a permanent companion on that tour as the left peak of the plateau was the first target for that day.
