Continuing the hike up to the Schlern Haus the trail is getting steeper and smaller, trees and plants getting less, rocks become the dominant material around around you.
At one place beside the small rocky trail it looks like a wooden bench has grown out of the steep rock wall beside you. A simple tree trunk fixed below the bench to put your feet on, so you can firm up and don’t slide down the bench.
To be honest, the criteria of comfortable seating is borderline. In fact you are more standing than sitting at this bench. However, since you already spent some effort to get to this point, everything to somehow sit on is a kind of comfort.
With the effort spent you already gained some further altitude and the view is going beyond the Alpe di Sisui (which is already impressive on its own) and you can see the shape of alpine mountains at the horizon.
Since this is the last bench (posted in here) before reaching the Schlern House and the Schlern House was the first interim target on our hike, I thought it is appropriate to post here also a picture of the Schlern House. Even though it is not a bench-view as such but all the benches on the way support the hiker to get to this view.
