Finally we got the story around the beautiful benches, which I posted some time ago.
An american lady, Wilhelmina Busch born in 1887, widowed three men in her live. Two Germans and one American ( Mr. Woods).
This lady, living her adult live in Germany was crazy about the idea of owning a castle. She bought huge areas at the south western part of the lake Starberg and finally built her own castle: Hoehenried.
She was very agile to save her castle through the second worldwar.
She and her last husband are buried at the park Hoehenried wich belongs today to a rehab center still accessible to the public.
Mrs Busch-Woods left her other estate to the public by starting a foundation, Park Bernried. Both parks are wonderful and possess a wide range of beautiful diverse huge trees and varied plantation, scenic walkways, breathtaking views to the lake Starnberg.
There, inbetween bushes and woods this benches invite to dream.
