Singapore is known for solid and formidable benches. There might be a bit of a concern about the locations and number of benches in certain places, but you can trust me there are a lot of nice benches around the island.
Some of those great benches are placed, I hope not consciously, right in the middle of the blistering sun or if you want so, placed under the sometimes terrific tropical rain.
Other benches are too small and uncomfortable to honour the location they are in.
I found one of the rare occassions in Singapore where an breath-calming view on rocks and water can be enjoyed in a way you would not have expected it in a Asian city like Singapore.
Look at it, it is small and uncomfortable, it is not even equipped with a back support. If there is no rain the bench would smelter in the sun. Either way it would remain unoccupied.
And you can trust me any outdoor freak would want to sit there for a while. Not only for the quaint view, but for to rest for a while, as you have to walk through the tropical heat to reach the remote appearing place in the middle of the city state.
There is even history to this place. If you ever get a chance to sit on the little bench you would sit right in the middle of a former quarry. Not so long ago the last tigers of Singapore were still roaming in this area.
This is definitely a place to go if you are on a visit to Singapore.
