Singapore is famous for cleanliness. This is something one can experience everywhere and of course in the parks of Singapore as well.
Singapore’s parks are neat, clean and convenient. I imagine such kind of parks in Munich or any other European metropolis and they had to put a fence around it and charge an entrance fee.
But Singaporeans are not really vivid park goers. Rain and the afternoon heat is holding them back, especially in the hours between 10 am in the morning and 5 pm in the evening.
Shelter is a must in this country. Benches to rest are a must as well and Singapore’s National Park Authority is doing well with providing shelter and deploying benches.
How else could the crowds in this tropical city be lured into its amazing parks?
Have a look at one of the typical picnic areas in Singpore. Shelter and the benches are ultimately inviting to rest, eat and drink.
Usually one do not have to fight hard for a seat in such mind of shelters, as Singaporeans would be flocking to Shopping Malls and Cinemas to avoid the suffering in the winderful outdoors of their formidable city.
This is good for those who appreciate life in the outdoors.
And who the hell has rounded benches in this overly straight world?
Those places are tranquil and that’s rare in the overpopulated and fast growing Asian cities.
The tracks and environment in those many parks are perfectly orchestrated, and all this in the middle of a 5 million people city.
If you ever visit Singapore you have to make it to one of the parks like Eastcoast Park, Kentridge Park, old Botanical Garden, Mc Ritchie Reservoir or simply West Coast Park.
