View to Bunratty Castle

This is a circular stone bench, it is just opposite of the Bunratty Castle.

It is shaped like a gorget (= thin gold collar dating to the Bronze Age), which refers to golden artefacts found mid of the 19th century during the laying of a railway.

Most of the pieces have been lost (melted and sold). The inscript says: Sculptor: Fred Conlon, Sligo April, 1993

That is a good documentation of bench and view from the bench.
