Almost every Sunday morning I am having a ride with my bike to the almost quaint West Coast Park in Singapore. Almost quaint, because for a certain stretch the park is sandwiched between the Pasir Panjang Harbour and the West Coast Highway. So expect a little noise from both, as big lorries are moving around even on Sundays.
Of course one can find the typical solid stone benches, mostly in pairs, under a nice roof. Good to protect from rain and sun, the 2 natural enemies of Singapore.
I only wondered why and who made them looking towards the harbour just across the road.
You won’t believe it that those 2 fellows have such a great pond in their back, and unfortunately they can’t turn around as we humans can.
Just to give you an impression how solid a bench in Singapore can be, I made a selfie of one of those 2 fellows.
