What makes a German bench feel good in an English Garden?

It is a simple question to answer, but only as long as you are familiar with the city of Munich.

Most people know the German city of Munich because of its famous soccer club, “1 FC Bayern Muenchen”.

But not as many people around the planet would know, that Mumich’s biggest park is called the “English Garden”.

I am not sure but I have heard, that this name was given to the park, because most of the English Soccer teams, like Liverpool FC, when beaten by the famous Bayern Munich team, went for a stroll in the park to calm themselves down.

I am not from Munich, so I can not confirm this.
