Bench Monaco

I am not sure why I called this bench “Bench Monaco”. It has nothing to do with Monaco itself, as the bench is located in Munich.

To be precise, in Munich Schwabing, where most of Munich’s students live.

May be it was just a spur of a moment which reminded me on “Monaco Franze”, a Bavarian TV series playing in Munich.

If you are a student or a cafe bencher in Munich, you might know where to find the bench and the nice cafe. It was a little rainy and cold, that made it easy to get the bench without occupants.

I guess in summer the bench is hardly seen in it’s pure beauty as shown in the picture.

I really hope that someone will send me the name of the cafe, to which the bench belongs to.

    Well, I guess that that you used Monaco Bench because Monaco is the Italian name for Munich or München. And there is the saying that Munich is the most northern city of Italy, hence Monaco is just expressing that. Also Monaco Franze is in fact Munich or München Franze, but that would not have sounded as fancy as Monaco Franze. However, it is also true that Monaco and Munich is sometimes mixed up and tourists who wanted to visit Monaco ended up in Munich. Anyway, not too bad either.
