Benches at the Wall

Recently I have visited an ancient city in China. As usual when in China, I was impressed first about how such real cultural gems are closely surrounded by the modern Chinese way of building.
Almost impossible for a German villager to understand, why there must be a highrise building in close vicinity to such a spectacular ancient city.

But critics aside, the place is amazing, just blank out the Chinese way of dealing with ancient culture and modernity.

I had to sit down to calm down my mind.

And here is the bench, not really Chinese looking, where I calmed down my mind.

But what really makes this bench so special might not be visible unless you have been sitting on it.

Being somewhere in the middle of China with a view, which somehow reflected my imaginations about China, when I was a young boy, influenced by contemporary movies about China at that time.

Its not the great wall but the scenery and the view is equally fantastic. Those pictures invite for travelling to China. I hope you have also found a bench to post on the blog from Avatar-land.
