Pont du Gard in Nimes

The view describes the location well enough: The Romans needed plenty of water for the city of Nimes and builded a 50km long water pipe. The Pont du Gard is a well-known relict of this Roman engineering , dated back to the first century. This bench looks as old as the bridge itself and is still used by tourists to enjoy the view.
